I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Angel announcer Rory Markas. He was a true professional and an outstanding human being. He had an energy and enthusiasm about him and was fun to interact with at sporting events. I first met him doing interviews at Angel games and ran into him as a collegiate basketball announcer when we played at USC. I always enjoyed speaking with him and interviewing him whether on the baseball field or the basketball court. I was also amazed to see him covering news events, as well, in Southern California for Fox News. He will be missed by thousands and it is hard to believe he is no longer around and that we will not see or hear him at the Angel games. I offer my condolences to his family and loved ones.
